    Luxembourg Stock Exchange

The Luxembourg Stock Exchange is located at 35A boulevard Joseph II, Luxembourg City. The Luxembourg Stock Exchange offers various services and facilities for companies and investors. Learn more about the requirements for listing a security and its Regulations and fees. The Luxembourg Stock Exchange is one of the world’s leading exchanges for stocks and other financial instruments.

    Issuers

There are several advantages for issuers wishing to list their securities on the Luxembourg stock exchange. First, issuers can choose between two distinct regimes: the European Union-regulated Bourse de Luxembourg or the Luxembourg domestic market, known as Euro MTF. Listing on one of these exchanges will provide issuers with exposure to a larger pool of institutional investors.

    Listing requirements

The listing requirements for Luxembourg Stock Exchange are set forth in the Law on Markets in Financial Instruments, which is administered by the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF). Listed securities must meet certain requirements that are important for efficient and fair trading. They must also be freely negotiable, a prerequisite for admission to the official list.

    Regulations

The Luxembourg Stock Exchange is a European stock exchange. There are several classes of securities listed on the exchange, including Class A and Class B Shares. Other classes of securities listed on the exchange include Class D Shares, Class Y Shares, and Class Z Shares. The trading of these shares is subject to general market price fluctuations, which does not necessarily reflect their underlying NAV. This means that investors may not get the full value of their shares back when they sell them on the exchange.

    Listing fees

Listing fees on the Luxembourg stock exchange are based on the aggregate value of securities to be listed. The fees also include fees for reviewing and approving a prospectus. If the prospectus must be approved by another regulator, such as the CSSF, different fees apply. In general, 0.05% of the total value of shares to be listed is charged for prospectus approval. This fee is lower for simplified prospectuses.

    Sustainable investment awards

The Sustainable Investment Awards at the Luxembourg stock exchange celebrate achievements in sustainable investment. These awards recognize financial institutions and companies that implement sustainable practices and climate change mitigation into their business models.

    Partnership with Euronext

The Luxembourg stock exchange and Euronext have entered into a partnership to improve co-operation between the two companies. The Memorandum of Understanding will cover several aspects of the relationship, including exchange of listing technology and joint efforts to develop the corporate bond market. In addition, the partnership will increase market liquidity and enhance data flows.
